I would like to present the Subaru Impreza S5 WRC model built a long time ago.
I finished the miniature car of the Polish and European Champion - Krzysztof Hołowczyc almost 10 years ago. Since then, the model has only undergone modifications to the reflectors of the headlamps and halogen lamps, and has received markings on the tires.
With this car the crew of Krzysztof Hołowczyc and Jean-Marc Fortin took 16th place in the Rally Sweden in 2000.
The miniature was, of course, based on the Tamiya - Subaru Impreza '99 model with the suspension of the '98 Safari model.
In retrospect and experience, there are many details that I would have done differently now. Nevertheless, the model still pleases the eye standing on the shelf. In addition, I am glad that this is my first model which won a model competition in its category. Local competition, but it's always some achievement!
The list of modifications and add-ons:
• Studio 27 decals
• Suspension, brakes and mudflaps from the Subaru Impreza Safari Rally version
• Rims from Hasegawa’s Subaru Impreza WRX
• Tires from Hasegawa’s Mitsubishi Galant
• Logotypes of Michelin on tires
• Bumpers painted French Blue 14 Humbrol
• Metal hood and trunk lid pins
• Additional cover for the air intake in the front bumper
• Modified cooler
• Covered holes in the front wheel arches
• Added on-board camera with cable inside cabin
• Fabric seat belts with metal buckles
