Hello!

After 3 years break, I have the pleasure to present my completed project, which is back to the 1:24 scale.
The car needs no introduction, Land Rover Defender is a legend and an off-road icon in itself. I’ve liked Land Rovers for as long as I can remember, but my love for these machines really broke into bloom with the wave of all SUVs appearing on the automotive market.

Raised passenger cars with sophisticated shapes and large rims that after driving off the asphalt will not go up the wet grass hill...

And Defender is Defender, still as angular since the creation of the Land Rover series 1 in 1948, not complicated and beautiful in its raw simplicity (at least until 2016).
Now I will focus on the miniature which took half a year to build. From the very beginning I wanted to make Defender in its last version produced between 2007-2016 and here the first problem appeared because on a 1:24 scale I did not find anything plastic that could be done. Sure, there are some Revell and Italeri kits on the market but these are Land Rover third series miniatures. So a metal product from Oxford (NEW DISCOVERY) was used to complete my project. The design was to be nice, quick and pleasant. However, the reality turned out to be completely different, which can be seen in the workshop thread. Due to the fact that the model was created before the birth of scalecars.online, for those interested in the model building process I can recommend the following modeling forums:

Finally, I am happy with the final result, it was worth spending so much time on this project, because of all the modifications ranging from rivets (116 as I remember well), seats, masks, suspension to color and tinted windows, mud flaps, lamps or child seat not to mention the engine cover, license plates or snorkeler makes the model unique.
I hope you will like the final gallery, even though it is not a sports or rally vehicle.

That's the word of introduction, now I invite you to view photos.
